Things you can do

1. Make booze-infused gummi bears.

2. Stain your lips with Kool-Aid.

3. Listen to this song over and over and work on your falsetto.

  1. Yeah you could do that OR you could listen to this song over and over.

  2. Or you could stain your lips with booze. That's always a good thing to do.

I like the name "The Sundays." How about a band called Sonntag? A psychedelic punk krautrock band, maybe.

I can't sing falsetto; I've got a low ugly Leonard Cohen--well, early Cohen--kind of voice. I play "Wild Horses" in the key of G and sing it like Jagger, but I suck when I sing high.

"Wild Horses" always reminds me of the rollercoaster scene in Fear.

    1. Fear! Such an awful movie.

I've got a lowish voice myself -- in karaoke I usually choose songs sung by men. But I can get away with this one.

There was a girl on The Voice this week who reminded me of Dolores O'Riordan and I had a 90s moment.

    2. I can sing falsetto. Not quite as well now as I could, say, thirty years ago, but I can still hit absurdly high notes for short periods of time. I can sing, for instance, the Tiny Tim favorite "Tiptoe through the Tulips," in falsetto, though I don't get quite as much warble into it as he did. (And I've never learned to play ukulele.)

I've found early Joni Mitchell especially helpful in practicing high notes. (She's my favorite musician in general.)

  3. When I was 15, I dyed my hair red with Kool-Aid. It was the loophole in my mother's "no hair dye till you're 18" law.

I love lip stains- this one seems like it wouldn't make your lips crack three hours in!

    1. How long did it last??

I have been singing the praises of Revlon balm-stains lately -- good stain and they don't dry out your lips!

  4. It came out in the shower, but my hair was pink for three weeks!
