Apropos of zilch

I find food trends somehow more abhorrent than any other kind of trend. The new Bon Appetit says "tea is new coffee." You've gotta be kidding! People will always drink tea and people will always drink coffee. It's like saying salt is the new pepper, which I'm positive some food writer actually wrote this year.

Anyway. I love this scene in Charade:

  1. Worse than food trends: body part trends.

In 2013, will the tiny bottom be the new big butt?

    1. Ha! That IS stupid. Remember in the mid-90s when all the women had six packs?

  2. BTW, just observing the phenomenon (I'm sure I'm not the first to do so) that with the current Word Verification program Blogger is using, if the sets of numbers and letters are clear and legible and you type them correctly, Blogger will tell you that it doesn't match, but if the numbers and/or letters are faint or blurry or bunched up together and illegible, and you take a stab in the dark and type what you think it might be, the comment posts on the first try (as it did with my comment above.) Just noticing...

    1. We're probably about due for it to the new pepper again ... several months back I ate at a place where everything was desperately UNDER-salted and of course there was no salt on the table.
